We’re not a franchise and we don’t have a rotating cast of faces. The crew that shows up in Winter Gardens, Lakeside, and El Cajon is the same crew that’s been turning wrenches in this county since 2004. Otto built this shop around a simple idea: hire people he’d trust to work on his own mother’s garage door, then treat every customer’s home the same way. Otto Reinhardt - Owner, Lead Technician
Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 and still runs every estimate the way he did on day one: he answers the call himself, quotes the job on the phone, and holds that number when he arrives. He’s certified across LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he can tell you the spring cycle count on a door from twenty feet away. His rule of thumb hasn’t changed in over two decades: “A door is 200 pounds riding on two springs. Respect it.” When he’s not under a door, he’s at the little league field coaching third base, which explains why he still calls fastballs “straight pipes.”
Ricky M. - Senior Installer
Ricky has been installing residential garage doors with Otto’s crew for fourteen years, and he’s the one Otto sends when a job requires a custom fit on an older Winter Gardens track or a tricky ceiling profile. He holds manufacturer certifications on Clopay and Amarr installations and has a reputation for treating every door like it’s going in his own house, leveling it twice and checking the balance with his hands before he signs off.
